INNOVATIONS PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL

Interest Clubs

On Fridayss, students meet with their Interest Club to have fun learning with friends with a common interest and participate in activities that are student driven. At the beginning of each school year, students brainstorm a list of clubs they would like offered during the year. Staff members serve as advisors to the clubs and community mentors are invited to participate whenever possible. Each year there are three rounds of interest clubs, lasting 9 - 12 weeks, giving students lots of opportunities to participate in a variety of interests.

Clubs in the past have included kite making, puppetry, drama, ukulele, dog training, yoga, cooking, dance, carnival, legos, pets, sports, scrapbooking, fishing, and a host of others. Everyone looks forward to Interest Clubs because they are filled with learning fun!
