The entrance to the meeting room was filled with rally supporters.

Students carried signs with messages for the Board: Small Schools are cool remind the Board that small schools have better academic success rates.

Support Community Governance: Having a Local School Board gives the school and community control over their school. Because the control is local, it can meet the needs of the community and school.

Shon enjoyed the rally process.

The meeting proceeded through the agenda items. Students were able to witness how a BOE meeting is conducted. After the Charter School presentation, students filed out and returned to their cars and vans for the long ride home in the storm. It was a long day for the kids but they had fun and enjoyed exercising their "POWER TO INFLUENCE!" To read more about the rally, go to http://www.ipcs.info/ipcs/rally06hitrib.html
